5 INEXPENSIVE GETAWAYS IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA

I thought I would share my favorite places that I’ve been & also a few places that I’ve been dying to go to!! Traveling for a college student working two jobs becomes subjected to a tight budget so I thought I would share for anyone lookin’ for a California getaway just in time for the holidays!

1. Big Sur– This may be an obvious one but I seriously LOVED Big Sur and want to return asap! We actually visited during the off season (which is winter time) which made it nice and cold but also a lot cheaper! We stayed here & it was absolutely perfect. The cabin was adorable and it was close to everything we wanted to see/do. It does get kind of muddy in the winter though, so most of the cool hiking trails were closed but man we got to see some amazing views!

2. Ojai– I have to admit, I’m a little bias about Ojai because I have family that lives there so it feels a little more like home to me. BUT I will say that its the cutest dang town and it feels like you’re far, far away from home when you’re there (in a really good way!)

3.  Paso Robles– I went here for a concert with my mom & the town was so so cute and the landscape is gorgeous! A huge wine tasting town (which I was too young for at the time) and they also have lots of cute shops. I really want to go back now that I’m of age lol.
   

   

   

   
4. Wrightwood– My family has property near here and I always love visiting this cutie little town. Come winter, there is snowboarding/skiing at Mountain High and its definitely their busy season! The landscape is gorgeous and it is a lot cheaper than most other places to go to the snow are such as Big Bear or Mammoth.

5. Idyllwild– Okay, seriously the cutest town e v e r. There were great restaurants and also the coolest brewery! We got a great deal on groupon so it ended up being a super cheap but amazing getaway. There’s beautiful scenery, amazing hikes, cool vintage shops and everyone there is super friendly!
