J + I decided to book a trip as a Christmas present to each other! I found a great deal on Groupon for the cutest little hotel and I’ve always wanted to see Yosemite so it seemed like the perfect fit. We stayed at the Yosemite View Lodge which is in El Portal. It was about 20 minutes from the actual park but we scored a river view room and it was magical. There is a restaurant in the hotel and a little pizza shop.

Everyone was super friendly and there were tons of families and nice people staying there as well! It was honestly the perfect way to relax. The whole vacation wasn’t at all strenuous which is just what the doctor ordered after finals and after the chaos of the holidays. All we did was basically drink wine, take pictures, play scrabble and enjoy the view. What else could you ask for on a getaway??
