If I don’t have my sh** together, that’s when it hits the fan.
I thought I would do a post about my favorite ways to stay organized and the little things I always forget to do🤷🏼♀️
1. Making To-Do Lists

Every Monday, I like to make a to-do list that pertains to the week and the day. Like for instance, I’m probably going to go to the bank again and organize in the same week, but I’m not going to donate my clothes twice in one week. Obviously to do lists are a clear way to stay organized but it’s the simplest things that declutter my mind such as this. After getting certain things done, I feel better about the selfish things like buying something that I need/want.
2. Organizing my makeup/ cleaning my brushes

I just recently bought this organizer from TJ Maxx and it was $7. I’ve always kept my makeup in just a regular makeup bag but I hate trying to get ready and having to dig through all my crap. Also it’s a great way to see what you actually use.
I ALWAYS forget to clean my makeup brushes so I’ve been trying to be better at that. Here’s what I do to clean them:
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tbsp dish soap
I just put that into a regular measuring cup, let them sit for about 5-10 minutes then wash them out in the sink with warm water and let them dry. Try to do this at least twice a month to avoid germs/acne causing bacteria.
3. Planning the month out/Setting goals

I know some of these are obvious and it seems silly to state them, but I really just wanted to share this calendar I got from hobby lobby🙃 it was on clearance for $30 and I’m obsessed! Also, writing little goals like that for myself helps me work toward something since I’m not in school right now. I still need to be challenged even if it’s the simple things I pretty much already do, it feels good getting to cross them off at the end of the month. Feeling accomplished is something that always makes me feel better so why not? 🕺🏽
4. Hiding the ugly stuff

Pls ignore the ugly cable cord***
This was also something I just wanted to show that I got because it’s cute and it was cheap! I got this from target and it was $25 (not including the bins that were $5 each). I needed something to go in this corner and also a place to put all the random stuff in my room like my febreze, laptop case, chargers, etc. I also only bought 2 bins and made the middle just a cute little shelf.
5. Keeping A Journal

Having anything kept inside or bottled up is so unhealthy for your mental state. Anytime I have a hard day or just a lot on my mind, I write it down. It almost always leads to me figuring out what the root of the problem is and how to move forward. I think this is a different kind of way to stay organized but probably one of the most important.
6. Keeping Up With Your Planner

I really try and use my planner for more than just a regular schedule. I try and track the amount of water I’m drinking, my everyday goals/tasks to get done, the little things that I have to remember to do, I use it to keep track of what I spend and a lot more.
7. Keep A Budget
I didn’t take a picture of this one because that’s obvi my business and well, if you know me, you know this is my WEAKEST spot. I am what you call a “reckless spender.” I’ve been writing down every single thing I’ve been purchasing, giving myself a weekly budget and trying my best to stick to it. In the mean time also paying off some debt so its been a challenge. It’s really opened my eyes though, seeing everything add up the way it does and it’s definitely made me more conscious. So yes mom, all those years of telling me that we’re on a budget have given me the power to make one for myself🤑
8. Go Through Your Clothes
I don’t mean only pick through the things you NEVER wear and have been meaning to throw out for years. I’m talking about those pants that don’t fit right and never will, those shoes you bought on a whim that you hate and that shirt that still has the tags on it. All the clothes you’re “saving” for something should be sorted through indefinitely! It gives you more room for new ones anyway 💁🏼
9. Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff
You can’t always tackle everything in a day and I always have a hard time with that. Time usually gets away from me and I spend too much time focused on one thing. If it’s not pressing, most likely I can just do it the next day or whenever I have more time. Don’t overload your schedule with things you know you can’t handle, but also, don’t be afraid to challenge yourself.
10. Treat Yo Self
While sticking to your budget of course, find a way to reward yourself for staying organized. Whether it’s a glass of wine, a pedicure or even an extra hour of sleep, it’s something to work toward which is enough for me!
Thank you for reading this post, I know it’s not my usual writing piece of whatever but I love fun stuff like this so let me know what you thought of it or if you try any of my tips!
Xoxo,
I always choose the wine🍷

Once again my little darling you just simply amaze me. Love you and I will take some of your advice. Thanks for giving me some credit too 😜
